Outreach

COMMUNITY BREAKFAST: We host a Community Breakfast every Thursday.  Breakfast is served in the Parish Hall from 7:00 to 9:00 am.  Anyone from the community is invited to this free breakfast.

GOOD SAMARITAN GARAGE: This started with a vision to repurpose an old shed/garage to new life in service to our neighbors. Behind the property (east end of the property) we have a consignment style “store” that receives donations and then offers them to anyone in need of them. Examples of items include: clothing (mostly adults), non-perishable foods, hygiene items, hats, gloves, shoes, some bedding, belts, and more. Hours are Tuesday from 1pm to 2:30pm and Thursdays from 8:30am to 11:00am.

SALVATION ARMY FOOD PANTRY: our church supports these local community services.

LUTHERANS, ANGLICANS, and ROMAN CATHOLICS (LARC): LARC started in 1992 with a covenant between the bishops of the Roman Catholic diocese, the Episcopal diocese, and two Lutheran synods.  Trinity has been very active in the organization with the original leadership coming from our church.  The participating churches in Chambersburg are First Lutheran, Second Lutheran, Trinity Lutheran, Trinity Episcopal, and Corpus Christi Catholic.  LARC organizes weekly services during Lent, an annual Lasagna dinner, and an annual Blessing of the Animals service.

UNITED CHURCHES OF CHAMBERSBURG: The UCCA has a rich history of ministry to the community.  Current initiatives and ministries are the Emergency Needs Clearing House and the Jail Chaplaincy and Ministries.  This group meets quarterly.
